The reason I gave three stars is the blood lab. I go often and it is understaffed. One woman does intake and blood draws. It appears to me that a second person may have left and not been replaced. It looks like you care more about your bottom line than your clients. Not good.

I went in to the Endoscopy clinic for a routine "I'm middle-aged now" colonoscopy. I'd heard that the prep is the worst part of the procedure (for the uninitiated, it twice requires drinking two liters of a bad-tasting laxative the day before), and it was certainly true. Not only do I not even remember the procedure, but everyone I dealt with was friendly, informative, and generous with their time. This was to a person, from the admissions clerk and admitting nurse through to the doctors and nurses in the clinic and, I think, the recovery nurses. I say "I think" because I really don't recall much of anything between the drugs being turned on for the procedure and being home afterwards. I wouldn't recommend colonoscopy as a recreational choice, but when you have to do it, you couldn't do better than to choose Swedish Ballard. Genuine thanks to everyone there for taking such good care of me.

I in general hate going to the hospital for any reason but I have to say that they made me feel like my concerns were important unlike other hospitals in the past I’ve visited and they responded quickly and had me on the mend in no time and my service dog was welcome even in the er she wasn’t thrilled to be kenneled in a large kennel like airports use when transporting your pet and she was right in the room with me which was a relief to her and myself. I highly recommend Swedish hospital in Ballard!

My medical care team is housed here. Whenever I have entered ER they have stabilized me and shown true concern. Thank you for taking such good care of me.

The nurses are a little bit cocky, but still friendly. They are a little slow in the emergency room, but overall they do a good job. From what I know there is nothing really impressive about the emergency room. The hospital itself is very good. Like most good hospitals, their attentive, caring, and helpful whenever help is needed. For my own personal experiences in the ER here and on the other floors; I have no complaints and/or grievances about Swedish Ballard. They do a phenomenal job and provide great care.

The doctors, nurses, counselors and staff all played a huge part in helping me save my life. I showed up with a bag packed to the ER and said I needed help with my addiction to prescription pain medication and was sent up to the detox unit not long after without going through the ER. I found out later that others in the unit had been waiting weeks or months to get in so I know that my case was different (and no It wasn't because I had private insurance- I didn't) I know my higher power and/or guardian angel was looking out for me. I will have 4 years on 6/24/16 God bless these people, they're beautiful people and they deal with a lot of bad but some of us turn out alright. Thank you. Dr. Parada, you admitted me into the detox and CUPWs program that day. Thank you so much.

I've been to the emergency room a few times. They're really great. Each time I've been transferred to another hospital, which means I've had to pay for an ambulance, which is disappointing.
